Each year Stamford Downtown hosts a distinguished outdoor sculpture exhibit designed to attract both local and regional audiences.
This year we are honored to present Timeless – The Works of Seward Johnson. Thirty-six sculptures will grace the streets and parks of Stamford Downtown throughout the summer of 2018. The highlight of this exhibit is the iconic 26-foot tall Forever Marilyn.
Art in Public Places History: Since 1994, the city of Stamford has presented summer-long outdoor sculpture exhibits. The program’s goals are threefold:
-To promote the downtown as a regional tourism destination using art as vehicle
-To enhance the image of the downtown through a quality sculpture exhibit
-To foster art appreciation in diverse community
