THE BALLET SCHOOL OF STAMFORD PRESENTS THE AMERICAN GIRL FASHION SHOW

The Ballet School of Stamford invites girls, their friends and families to experience the American Girl Fashion Show during three presentations Sunday, November 8th at the Stamford Hilton Hotel.  This fun, engaging program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls.  Proceeds from the event sponsored by Lord and Taylor and The Palace Theatre will benefit “Dance for All”, The Ballet School of Stamford’s scholarship and outreach program.

The search is on for 90 girls who would enjoy walking the runway during an American Girl Fashion Show. Local children will model the fashions, while lively commentary, music, and decorations will create a memorable experience for girls and their families.  Audiences will delight in historical clothing, from daywear to sleepwear to special-occasion clothing, that resembles what the popular American Girl characters Kaya, Caroline, Josefina, Addy, Samantha, Rebecca, Kit, and Julie might have worn.  Contemporary “Just Like You” outfits for older girls and sweet Little Girl fashions for little ones complete the program. American Girl dolls are diverse; girls of all races and cultures are encouraged to apply.
