District Map

Stamford Downtown manages a Special Services District that covers the majority of the historic and modern city center. The District extends from I-95 in the south, north to UConn Stamford and Latham Park.  Mill River Park is the western boundary and Grove Street provides the eastern boundary.

The District was established by city ordinance in 1992 covering the historic areas on Bedford, Summer, and Atlantic Streets and has since added over 20 additional properties to reach the District boundaries we have today. The District is comprised of apartment buildings and residential condominiums, hotels, offices, the mall, and many smaller mixed-use buildings that were built in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. The Downtown Stamford National Register Historic District is entirely within the Special Services District.
